If you want to go"deep in the arts" in Texas, MAIN ST. is the perfect place. Where else an you experience so many skilled artisians working in so many different mediums? Where else can you speak with the artist personaky and engage them in enlightening conversations about their work?
MAIN ST. is a juried art fair, which means artists must submit their work to a jury of experts before exhibiting here. The 2010 Artist Selection Jury - Anne Allen, Bill Campbell, J>D> Hillberry, Cynthia Hodgkins, Kerry Jacobs, Luther Smith and Gregory Story - did an amazing job, as you will see when you browse the hundreds of white tents. Close to 1600 artist applied to exhibit at this year's festival, but only 224 were chosen for exhibition. Mediums range from sculpture, painting and photography to wood carvings, glassworks, jewelry, fashion and mutimedia. Millions of dollars worth of art are sold at MAIN ST.each year...............................................In all MAIN ST. will award more than $10,500 in prize money to artist this year . April 8 - April 11, 2010
