You Docs

Q: My Triglyceride are high and my doctor recommends that I take fish oil capsules, Can I take DHA instead ---Judy - Wis.

A: Fish oil is swimming in two forms of omega-3 fatty acids; DHA and EPA Both will do your heart, brain and eyes good. And your doc's recommendation is basically on target: Taking a fish-oil supplement will drop your triglycerides lower than Newt Gingrich's presidential odds.
But you're right - we think there's a better way: Take DHA omega-3 supplements made from algae, not fish oil - it's where fish get their omega-3s. With algae-based DHA, you avoid toxic substances like PCB's found in some fish-oil capsules. Slso, unlike our political parties, omega-3's work together, but DHA is responsible for most of the heart-healthy benefits of fish oil and gets transformed into EPA if you are short of EPA.
One side note: While there's evidence that EPA omega-3s may cut the risk of precancerous colon polyps (we've both had them removed) don't take extra EPA without consulting your doc.
It can trigger both clotting and bleeding problems, and it doesn't play nice with certain drugs.

In

New York City, even a van from a funeral home can be towed, and even if the van has a body in the back. That's what funeral director Paul DeNigris discovered the hard way when he came out of Redden's Funeral Home in Brooklyn and discovered his van was missing. Because it didn't look like a hearse, cops thought nothing of towing the vehicle, which had been parked in a "No Parking" zone for three hours. "I was just a wreck. I was frantic." DeNigris said of the incident.
He was able to retrieve the van, and the recently deceased, and he intends to fight the fine in court.

In a

very simple way you can make a mechanical aid to help you draw and visualize perspective accurately. Take a box, remove the bottom, and divide the open end into squares by criss-cross threads, as illustrated. Set up this frame in front of the subject to be drawn and note how the squares divide the picture. Draw squares on your paper, and copy what you see through each square in the box. You will find that you have drawn objects in perspective. That is, you have drawn what your eyes tell you exists, and not what your mind knows exists.
A square-paned window provides a framework of vertical and horizontal lines which helps to determine the angle of the perspective lines.

B O S E

When we introduced the original Accoustic Wave music system, Sound & Vision said it delivered "possibly the best-reproduced sound many people ever heard." And the Oregonian reported it had "changed the way many Americans listen to music."
Today, the improved Accoustic Wave music system II builds on our more than 40 years of industry-leading innovation to deliver even better sound. This is the best-performing all-in-one music system ever made, with sound that rivals large and complicated stereos. There's no stack of equipment. No tangle of wires. Just all-in-one convenience and lifelike sound.
Even better sound than irs award-winning predecessor.

Measuring Ingredients

Getting consistently successful results from a recipe begins with measuring the ingredients correctly. To do this, stock up on the right utensils for the job and learn the correct method for measuring specific ingredients.
THE RIGHT UTENSILS
GRADUATED measuring cups: Also called dry measuring cups, thesr stackable cups come in increments of 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, and 1 cup and are used to measure dry ingredients and soft solids such as shortening. They're not used for liquids.
Liquid measuring cups; These clear glass or plastic cups hold 1, 2, or 4 cups liquid and have the incremental markings printed on the outside; a handle and a spout make for easy pouring.
Measuring spoons: Nested spoons commonly come in sets that measure 1/4 teaspoon, 1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon(tsp.) and 1 tablespoon(TBS) These can be used for dry and liquid ingredients.

about oats and gluten

While oats themselves do not contain gluten, they are often processed in facilities that also process glten-containing ingredients thus posing a risk of contamination. Fortunately, there are oats and oat products made in dedicated gluten-free facilities.

In one documented case, a golf course flag landed 43 miles from the course in another a man's jacket was found 20 miles from his home., In the wake of last month's outbreak in Alabama, witnesses spoke of "whole neighborhoods reduced to matchsticks" in minutes.
